Raw Water Filter

An intake water filter is an essential item for any water cooled marine engine. The filter provides protection to the impeller pump by restricting the entry of debris into the raw water cooling circuit. This is particularly important for boats sailing in shallow waters where marine plants grit and other water born debris can be easily drawn into the cooling system.

This strainer has a grey technopolymer case with transparent plastic screw cap. The clear lid gives you good view into the filter to check for problems without having to remove the lid. The robust strainer basket inside the filter is made from stainless steel. Cleaning the filter is easy as the basket can be lifted out of the unit. The filter is supplied with a snap on mounting bracket. The intake and discharge connectors are on the underneath of the filter and are stepped to suit a wide range of hoses. Both of the nozzles fit the following sizes of hose: 13mm (1/2″) – 19mm (3/4″) – 25mm (1″). The water flow rate through the filter is 150 litres/min.
