The basic principle behind a diaphragm air horn is that air passing through the diaphragm (disc) inside the horn, causes it to vibrate. The noise of this vibration is amplified by the horn, thus producing a loud sound, which is suitable for signalling to other boats and water users.

This smart looking marine air horn is made from ABS. This is a thermoplastic polymer that has a shiny, impervious finish, is tough and maintains its strength across a wide operating temperature range. All of these characteristics make it the perfect material for a marine air horn. The top half of the horn is available in a choice of colours: white or black; and the underside is polished chrome for a smart appearance.

This sleek horn is CE marked and comes with a strong stainless steel mounting bracket.
