Deluxe Emergency Ladder - 11 Steps - Black

With the number of man over board (MOB) occurrences on the rise (according to the RNLI) a rescue ladder is an essential requisite for all boats.

This deluxe emergency boat ladder is made of black polyester, fitted with strong fibreglass inserts to reinforce the steps. Each step has a fluorescent yellow strip on it for improved visibility at night.  A substantial waterproof black storage bag is included.  The bag has two black webbing straps on the top with a pair of satin stainless steel buckles for securing it onto your boat’s pulpit rail. Ideally emergency ladders should be fitted amidships, as this is the easiest place to get back on board in an emergency situation. The bottom of the storage bag is fitted with a bright yellow emergency pull cord, which once pulled deploy the ladder and enable a safe climb out of the water.

This model of emergency ladder has 11 steps and is 3.3m long when deployed. Importantly it complies with ISO 15085 (Man-overboard Prevention and Recovery)

What length emergency boat ladder do you need?

It is important that once deployed the bottom rung of the ladder hangs well below the water line. So check the distance between the mounting point and the approximate water line to ensure your emergency ladder is suitable
