Double Motor Flusher Muffs

It is advisable to flush your outboard engine with fresh water after each use to keep it clear. This is particularly important when you are running the engine in sea water. The salt crystals build up and clog the channels. “Flush muffs”, “flushers” or “ear muffs” are the easy way to connect a standard garden hose and rinse the engine through with fresh water. This removes any debris and salt water to prevent the salt crystals from forming when the engine dries out.

These universal double flush muffs are suitable for the majority of outboard engines and have 2 x rectangular black rubber suction cups. Fit the suction cups over the water intakes on both sides, then connect a fresh water hose to the muffs. The fresh water connection is a standard garden hose attachment. When you run the engine fresh water is drawn through and flushes out the salt. These twin muffs have a splitter in the water pipe so water is drawn in on both sides of the engine. These muffs are also useful if you need to run your engine out of the water for any reason, while performing maintenance tasks etc…
