Emergency Ladder - 3, 4 or 5 Steps
- Emergency boat ladder, with 3, 4 or 5 steps
- Vital for solo sailors and man overboard situations
- Designed to be mounted on the pushpit rail
With the number of man over board (MOB) occurrences on the rise (according to the RNLI) a rescue ladder is an essential requisite for all boats. This emergency boat ladder is made of blue nylon cord, fitted with strong polycarbonate steps. It comes with a bright yellow storage bag so it is easily identifiable in adverse conditions. The bag has a red webbing hook on the top for securing it onto your boat rail. Ideally emergency ladders should be fitted amidships, as this is the easiest place to get back on board in an emergency situation. The bottom of the storage bag is fitted with a pair of emergency pull cords, which once pulled deploy the ladder and enable a safe climb out of the water.
This model of emergency ladder is available in 3 different lengths: 3 steps (940mm long); 4 steps (1140mm long) and 5 steps (1340mm long).
What length emergency boat ladder do you need?
It is important that once deployed the bottom rung of the ladder hangs well below the water line. So check the distance between the mounting point and the approximate water line and choose the most appropriate length ladder for your boat.
These ladders are an essential piece of equipment for all boats and especially for solo sailors. Can you risk not having one?
