Fairlead with Rollers

A fairlead is a device used to guide a rope or chain to prevent it catching or fraying. Fairleads allow your line to be pulled in a direction that is not always straight. For example, when raising or lowering sails the rope passing through the fairlead is pulled horizontally, while it hoists the sail vertically. Not only does it maximise your pulling power, but it can also help keep the deck orderly and arranged. Fairleads also prevent a straight run of line from vibrating or chafing on the deck surface. A roller fairlead has the added benefit of allowing the lines to operate easily and smoothly as there is less resistance. This is particularly helpful when hauling large, heavy lines.

These roller fairleads are available in two sizes 205mm (8″) for 16 / 22mm lines and 260mm (10″) for 24 / 32mm lines. Not only are they functional but they are stylishly designed with sweeping hooks and a pair of curved stainless rollers. Formed from cast 316 marine stainless steel the entire fairlead is polished to a gleaming mirror finish.

This roller fairlead has two substantial mounting studs for secure installation. The head of the stud fits flush into the fairleads top surface and the underside of the stud is specially shaped to keep it in position without loosening.
