So how does it work?

The tube contains a chemical powder which when it comes into contact with water, creates gas that inflates the tube. The tube inflates quickly and generally the keys will reach the surface in about 1 minute. Once inflated the tube is 36cm (14″) long and it stays afloat for over an hour, so this maximises your chances of retrieving your keys.
